VLADIMIR KASCELAN

 

Vladimir Kašcelan was born on September 10, 1965 in Cetinje where he has completed both, elementary and high school. He has graduated from the University of Montenegro , the Faculty of Mathematics in Podgorica in 1989. He received a Master degree from the University of Belgrade in 1994, the Faculty of Mathematics, and Phd in Economics from the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica in 1999. The fields of his interests are as follows: the financial mathematics on financial market, capital market, actuarial mathematics and insurance. He is an author of a number of papers from above mentioned areas of interests.

Since 1989, he has been working at the University of Montenegro, the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica. Currently he is an associate professor teaching Mathematical economics, Financial and actuarial maths and Risk and insurance. He is the head of the Master program of actuary. He is a co-author of two university textbooks: Mathematics for Economists and Financial Mathematics . He is also an author of several scripts on Actuarial mathematics.

He worked on a number of significant projects. Since 2000, he has been working as the first director of the Central Depository Agency (CDA), the Central Securities Depository of Montenegro. He was involved in the preparation of both, the legislation and establishment of the CDA. He is a member of the Board of directors of ECSDA (European Central Securities Depositories Association).

He speaks fluent English and posses a passive knowledge of Russian. Married and has two children.
